MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

ATEN Library Membership Information

ATEN Library provides membership for theological colleges, churches, Christian institutions, organizations, and individuals. Membership is devided in two categories:

  1. Institutional Membership
  2. Individual / General Membership

All eligible members are welcome to use the library resources and facilities.

1. Institutional Membership

Theological colleges, churches, Christian institutions, and organizations can apply for Institutional Membership. Under this membership, students, teachers, pastors, church members, organization heads, and staff can borrow library materials.

Borrowing Limit

  • Professors, institution heads, and pastors: Up to 5 books at a time
  • Students, staff members, and church members: Up to 3 books at a time
  • A late fee of Rs. 10 per day will be charged for overdue books.

Eligible institutions can become members after paying the membership fee set by ATEN.

Membership Responsibilities

  • Institutional members can use ATEN library facilities and services.
  • Institutional members are required to attend the General Body Meeting once every year.

2. Individual / General Membership

Individual Membership is available for all eligible individuals and is divided into three categories:

A. Rural Membership

Rural Membership is for people living outside Kathmandu Valley who cannot regularly access the physical library.

Borrowing Rules

  • Members can borrow up to 5 books at a time.
  • Books must be returned within 50–60 days.
  • A late fee of Rs. 10 per day will be charged for overdue books.

Eligible individuals can become Rural Members after paying the membership fee set by ATEN.

B. ATEN Membership

ATEN Membership is open to Christian individuals of all age groups and denominations.

Borrowing Rules

  • Members can borrow up to 5 books at a time.
  • Books must be returned within 15–30 days.
  • A late fee of Rs. 10 per day will be charged for overdue books.

Eligible individuals can become ATEN Members after paying the membership fee set by ATEN.

Membership Responsibilities

  • ATEN Members are required to attend the General Body Meeting once every year.

C. Library Membership

Library Membership is open to everyone who wants to use the library for study, research, and reading purposes. People of all ages, religions, and genders are welcome.

Facilities for Library Members

  • Reading space
  • Computer access
  • Hot and cold drinking water
  • Access to read library books inside the library
  • Permission to use personal books inside the library

Rules

  • Members must follow all library rules and regulations.
  • Membership may be suspended or cancelled if library rules are violated.
